Our overall experience was amazing. Food was delicious. Staff were amazing and friendly. The inside of the restaurant was delightful, especially since the windows were open and nice cool breeze was coming through. The Goombah Burger and the Loaded Fries had such a unique flavor combination. I will definitely be visiting Stouts again next time I visit.

Literally our favorite burger in L.A. you can't go wrong with the Stout Burger and the onion rings are on point. Always super friendly staff

This had all the makings of a great burger, but unfortunately it fell down on one of the most important pillars--execution! Specifically, the meat was not well prepared. I'm not sure if I came on an off day, but the quality was lacking; some bites were too dry; some bites were not seasoned well. It's like whatever beef mixture they were using reached the bottom of the barrel and was not fresh. Also, I ordered the patty rare, and it was served medium-well. Ordinarily, I wouldn't make a big fuss about this sort of thing, but they are clearly going for the "elevated" burger experience at a premium $17 price point, and at those levels they really need to deliver flawlessly, every time. I also felt that the burger was a bit on the small side. I could fit the entire sandwich in one hand. The rest of the composition was actually quite good. I tried their signature "Stout," which comes with blue cheese, Gruyère, bacon, grilled onions, tomatoes, and a horseradish sauce. Each element complements the others really well, without any one becoming overwhelming. Flavor wise, it's all there. I just wish the patty pulled its own weight! I also tried the loaded fries, which were delicious. Specifically, whatever cheese they use melts perfectly over fresh, hot, crispy fries, and had a consistency that was not too runny and not too thick. The Goldilocks of melted cheese! These were also pricey at $9 though, and the portion was also on the small side. Overall, I'm glad that I tried what is allegedly one of the "best burgers in LA," but I won't be running back.

I found Stout Burgers & Beer through Yelp because I was going to a show at the Pantages and needed somewhere to eat that was walking distance from the Pantages. We were seated immediately at 6pm on Thursday. The inside of the restaurant is pretty small with bar seating and tables. The tables are mostly for parties of 2-4. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered a beer on tap, 2 burgers, and a side of tater tots. The Stout burger had more flavor than the Goombah. The truffle flavor was subtle on the Goombah. The overall flavor of the burgers were both very good. I would have enjoyed a less thick bun. The tater tots were excellent. They were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. I enjoyed my first visit to Stout. It is a fun spot to grab a burger and beer at!

Cute spot with super friendly service! Tasty food with interesting flavor combinations.

This feels like too little, too late, as a lot of the locations have closed. My main one was the one on Santa Monica between Ocean and Second in downtown SM. Stout had a lot of things going for it. An eclectic beer menu that was always changing and always had a good beer for any given style at any given moment. They also arguably had the best soft pretzel of any establishment in LA. On the other hand, they couldn't cook a burger to a given doneness to save their lives. It did not matter how you asked for a burger to be done, it came out however the kitchen decided to send it out. Seasoning was hit or miss also. I loved the Shu burger, but half the time it was spot on, medium rare with a nice salty crust, and the other half of the time, it was a hockey puck. Still, I'll miss it. It was a solid option in downtown Santa Monica and honestly, that's a part of town that's struggling for a good burger and a good beer selection. Vaya con dios, Stout. DTSM is worse without you.

People in LA really love smash burgers and that is fine. I prefer pub burgers (burgers with a bigger patty, fancier buns, and thicker). Stout Burger has the best burgers in LA that I have tried so far. The burger meat is always perfectly cooked, the toppings layed on with care, and the size of the burger allows for everything to be eaten in one bite. Their tots, and onions rings are also some of the best i've tried, always piping hot and crispy. I have tried them all. I didn't see it on the menu, but I have also had their chicken fingers from another location and those are super good too!

If your looking for a place for a quick bite and a nice cold beer, look no further. They have a wide array of beer on tap for each and everyone's pallet. Food menu is down to the point. Burgers and salad. The name alone is quite interesting. Also the side dishes, recommend the loaded tater tots. Service is always amazing which is a plus. There's seating along the bar as well tables that looks out to the street. That open feel vibe. Services was always great. Friendly staff. There a lot but I'm not sure if it's juts for valet but metered street parking is also available. Location wise, it's centrally located in the heart of Hollywood. Minutes from walk of fame.

My favorite watering hole sadly closed down during the pandemic, but visiting Stout made me feel like I was right back there again. The small-bar vibes with a great assortment of taps and food that hits your craving spot-on was what we really enjoyed about Stout. Nothing fancy or over the top, just plain, simple, and good. The truffle burger was decadent and made to perfection. As a hater of mushrooms, I asked for them to be put on the side which was a good call. Everything came together perfectly and the meat was cooked perfectly. The hubs enjoyed his stout burger just as much, and found the proportion and ratios of the food to be just what we were looking for. Side of loaded tots was decent, but nothing to write home about relative to the burgers. I had a nice almanac sour and hubs enjoyed a refreshing hazy in the LA heat. The only thing I could knock this place off for would be the lack of A/C when its 90+ outside, but if you can suck it up for a little bit, it's worth it.
